Ronan Foley

Foley, 23, returns to the Arrows after making four appearances (three starts) for the club as a late-season signee in 2021. The Irishman, who also possesses a Canadian passport, produced several strong performances in his abbreviated season with the Arrows, racking up 27 tackles (90% completion), 129 carry metres on 21 carries, 47 ruck arrivals, four tackle breaks, four lineout takes, and a breakdown steal.

Foley first joined the Arrows following a successful spell with his hometown club University College Dublin of the All-Ireland League. The loose forward started with UCD’s under-20 program in 2016, and was promoted to the senior side as an under-ager one year later.

Awarded the Club Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season in 2017-2018, Foley captained UCD in the club’s pandemic-shortened 2020-2021 campaign.

The 6’2”, 230lb forward represented Ireland at the 2018 Six Nations Under 20s Championship, has featured for Leinster ‘A’, and earned one cap with Leinster’s senior side in 2019.
