Toronto Arrows Launch Matchday Series
It’s no secret: we miss playing rugby.
Everything about it.
From the skill and heart displayed by our players on the pitch to the exuberant passion coming from our fans in the stands, our club deeply misses the experience of gathering with our supporters week-in and week-out to celebrate our sport.
It’s that desire to celebrate together, as one, that inspired us to launch our Toronto Arrows Matchday Series as we endeavour to bring a key part of the matchday experience – enjoying an ice-cold, high-quality, Ontario-crafted beer or cider – to you, our fans.
Starting next month, our club will be partnering with several craft breweries and cideries found both locally in the GTA and from regions across Ontario to create a community-focused range of rotating, co-branded beers and ciders.
At the conclusion of the program, our club will contribute a portion of each Matchday Series beverage sale to community-focused rugby and sports organizations.
So, getting thirsty?
Here’s how the Matchday Series works:
- Each month, starting in October, the Arrows will partner with a spotlight Ontario brewery or cidery to produce a co-branded beer or cider.
- Each beer or cider will feature a special rugby-themed name and can design, with designs created in-house.
- Co-branded beers and ciders will be available for purchase exclusively from our partner craft breweries and cideries.
- Our partner breweries will handle all orders; where possible, our fans can order online and arrange for doorstep direct delivery or sign-up for a pickup time at the brewery / cidery for safe, touchless curbside pickup.
“The Matchday Series is all about engaging and supporting our province’s community of vibrant craft breweries and cideries, and showcasing many of the outstanding Ontario-produced beers and ciders to our passionate fans that we didn’t have an opportunity to enjoy together at home games planned for earlier this year,” said Bill Webb, Toronto Arrows President and General Partner. “Equally as important, we also want this initiative to benefit organizations that share our club’s strong, inclusive and community-focused values.”
“Working collaboratively with our province’s craft breweries and cideries to create the Matchday Series has been a great experience,” added Rahul Srinivasan, Toronto Arrows Director of Partnerships. “We have been very focused on the theme of engaging with communities: the rugby community, the craft beer and cider community, and the community-focused organizations that we will be supporting as a result of the Matchday Series. We’re excited to see the Matchday Series in action and for us to bring a key part of the matchday experience back to our fans.”
Stay tuned – our first craft brewery partner and co-branded beverage as part of the Toronto Arrows Matchday Series will be revealed later this week.
Thank you for your continued support, Arrows fans. We miss you, and we can’t wait to play in front of you again soon.
Until then, we say cheers, prost, slainte, and sante.
