Toronto Arrows Announce Ticketing Details, Home Venues for 2019 Major League Rugby Season
17 January 2019
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TORONTO, ON – The Toronto Arrows Rugby Club is pleased to announce that season tickets for the team’s 2019 Major League Rugby home schedule are now on sale.
Canada’s first professional rugby union team will begin its expansion year campaign in North America’s top flight professional rugby league with a road match against the NOLA Gold on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019. Following eight consecutive away matches, the Arrows will play eight consecutive home matches between April 7 and June 2 to close out the club’s inaugural MLR regular season.
The club’s first four home games will be held at York Alumni Stadium on the campus of York University, while the final four games will played at Lamport Stadium in downtown Toronto.
“We’re very excited to call York Alumni Stadium and Lamport Stadium ‘home’ for our first Major League Rugby season,” said Arrows President and Co-Founder Bill Webb. “Both stadia are accessible by public transit, have parking facilities within close proximity for those driving in, and give us the bandwidth we need to provide a memorable gameday experience for our fans.”
Season ticket packages are offered in two categories: Standard and VIP Tent.
Standard season ticket packages are $200, and provide access to general admission seating for all Toronto Arrows home games. Standard season ticket packages can be purchased online at https://torontoarrows.com/tickets.
VIP Tent season ticket packages are $12,000, and include 12 tickets for all Toronto Arrows home games, as well as complete food, drink, and hospitality services throughout each match. Tents will be located directly behind each try zone / in-goal area. Interested supporters are urged to secure their VIP Tent season ticket packages quickly, as only eight packages are available for the club’s inaugural MLR season. VIP Tent season ticket packages can be purchased by calling Bill Webb at 647-993-2379 or contacting [email protected].
“Each game, fans are going to head to York Alumni Stadium and Lamport Stadium knowing they’ll be set to enjoy entertaining, high-octane, elite-level rugby,” added Webb. “Providing a standout gameday experience is at the top of our priority list. From the food trucks and craft beer selections, to the meet-and-greets with the players post-match, all while enjoying a very competitive team on the pitch, fans are going to get a fantastic day out. Whether you’ve been a lifelong rugby supporter or you’re experiencing rugby for the first time, you’ll feel right at home when watching the Arrows play.”
Club officials will be contacting individuals who placed deposits for season tickets over the next week. These individuals are guaranteed their tickets.
Single game tickets and multi-game ticket packages will go on sale on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019 at 10 a.m. EST.
