
Toronto Arrows Announce Lineup for First Visit to DC

LEESBURG, VA – Toronto Arrows Director of Rugby Chris Silverthorn has named his starting lineup for tomorrow’s clash with Old Glory DC.
Eighteen Canadians have been included in Toronto’s 23-man lineup, including 21-year-old debutant Ross Braude and 23-year-old Houston SaberCats loanee Liam Murray.
Twelve full internationals have been named to the Arrows’ matchday squad, carrying a combined cap total of 297 matches.
Squad Notes:
- One new signing will make his MLR debut: Braude
- One new signing stands to make his Arrows debut off the bench: Murray
- Two players will make their first MLR start: Braude, Rowland
- Eight squad members are full Canadian internationals: du Toit (14 caps), Keith (16 caps), Kelly (1 caps), LeSage (16 caps), Parfrey (32 caps), Quattrin (5 caps), Rumball (35 caps), Sheppard (11 caps)
- Two squad members are full Argentinian internationals: de la Vega (12 caps), Tuculet (56 caps)
- Two squad members are full Uruguayan internationals: Diana (27 caps), Mieres (72 caps)
Tomorrow’s match marks the first meeting between Toronto and DC. Old Glory (1-0-1; 6 points) opened their 2021 campaign with a 26-26 road draw with NOLA and a 30-23 away victory over Atlanta, while the Arrows (0-2; 1 point) will look to rebound after dropping their first two contests to Atlanta and Utah.
Saturday’s game will kick off at 5 p.m. ET. The Eastern Conference tilt will air on TSN2 and stream on TSN.ca and the TSN App for Canadian audiences, and will be available on The Rugby Network for American and international audiences. Full broadcast details can be found here.
