4 December 2019
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TORONTO, ON – The Toronto Arrows are pleased to announce Foundation Physiotherapy & Wellness as the club’s official Physiotherapy Partner for the upcoming 2020 Major League Rugby season.
Foundation Physiotherapy is a physiotherapist-owned and operated facility with three convenient locations throughout Toronto, including Front/Spadina, Dundas/University and King/River. Each Foundation Physiotherapy location offers a wide array of physical rehabilitation services, including sport-specific physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture and fascial stretch therapy, amongst others. The philosophy at Foundation Physiotherapy is focused on creating strong relationships between clients and staff, tackling the root cause of a client’s discomfort, while providing a great experience and building a plan to empower clients with better physical health. Foundation Physiotherapy was started by Toronto-raised entrepreneurs and registered physiotherapists Matthew Laing and Raj Suppiah. The company recently celebrated its eighth anniversary.
Bill Webb, President and General Partner of the Toronto Arrows, stated: “On behalf of the Toronto Arrows, I am pleased to announce our partnership with Foundation Physiotherapy for the 2020 MLR season. As a team, we are focused on building a first-class product and organization and we look for that same desire with our chosen partners — Matt and Raj are no exception. Foundation Physiotherapy will be a fantastic partner for our organization due to their commitment to providing a first-class service and their active engagement within the communities in which they operate. I would encourage all Toronto Arrows fans and aspiring rugby players in the GTA to use Foundation Physiotherapy for their own personal physiotherapy services.”

Matt Laing, owner at Foundation Physiotherapy, said about the partnership: “Foundation Physiotherapy & Wellness is excited to be partnering with the Toronto Arrows going into the 2020 season. We’ve always placed a premium on partnering with athletes and organizations who place value on building community through sport and we feel this is a perfect fit for both sides. We look forward to working with the athletes across community rugby events, while providing exercise and injury prevention knowledge to rugby teams across the city!”
The Arrows will begin their second campaign in North America’s top-flight professional rugby league with a road match against the Austin Herd on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020. Following seven consecutive matches played away from Toronto, the club will play seven of its final nine matches at home between April 4 and May 31 to close out its sophomore MLR regular season.
