
Toronto Arrows Announce First Signings

TORONTO ARROWS ANNOUNCE FIRST SIGNINGS
(TORONTO, ON) – The Toronto Arrows, the newest franchise in Major League Rugby, have announced their first player signings for 2019, and will be revealing many more in the coming weeks.
Agreeing to terms with the new Canadian-based team are:

Brouwer, Rob (Lindsay, Ont.)
Keith, Cole (Sussex, N.B.)
Mitchell, Morgan (Gore, New Zealand)
HOOKERS
Ng, Steven (Ottawa, Ont.)
LOCKS
Ciulini, Paul (Vaughan, Ont.)
BACK ROWS
Milazzo, Peter (Toronto, Ont.)
Rumball, Lucas (Scarborough, Ont.)
BACKS
Evans, Jack (Victoria, B.C.)
Ferguson, Andrew (Mississauga, Ont.)
Lloyd, Kainoa (Mississauga, Ont.)
Mieres, Gaston (Punta del Este, Uruguay)
Sauder, Theo (Vancouver, B.C.)
Of the 12 signees, 10 are Canada eligible, and of those, seven came through the Ontario Junior and Senior Blues provincial system.
“We are sticking with our belief that Ontario, and Canada, have top professional-level players available and we are going to maximize that opportunity,” said Arrows Vice President and General Manager Mark Winokur. “Having said that, we know that we need to put the best possible product on the field for our fans and we are committed to making that happen.”
Eight of the 12 signees have national team experience, with the octet amassing 129 combined senior test caps.
