Toronto Arrows Announce Initial Group of 2022 Signings

TORONTO, ON – With initial roster assembly well underway ahead of the 2022 Major League Rugby season, the Toronto Arrows Rugby Football Club is pleased to share its first group of players to sign for next year’s campaign.
Guiseppe du Toit
Centre | Maple Ridge, British Columbia
Du Toit, 26, returns to the Arrows for a fourth season having featured in 24 matches (23 starts) for the club since 2019, marking the fourth-highest total among backs in team history.
The centre produced 1,051 carry metres on 153 carries, 11 tackle breaks, 10 linebreaks, six offloads, and a breakdown steal over his three years with the club, while also adding three tries and two kicked conversions. He’s also completed 237 tackles (85.6% completion) over his two-dozen matches, holding the club-high total for backs.
The 6’, 215lb back has collected 14 caps for Canada since making his international debut against Chile in February 2017, including featuring at the 2019 Rugby World Cup. He also represented the Canada under-20s in 2015.
Du Toit is a graduate of the British Columbia Bears senior men’s provincial program and Rugby Canada’s Pacific Pride national development program, and played his grassroots rugby with the University of Victoria Vikes in the British Columbia Premiership.
The Canadian international captained the Arrows during the final three games of the 2021 season, becoming just the fifth player in club history to lead the team out for a senior match.
No. 8 / Flanker | Dublin, Ireland
Foley, 23, returns to the Arrows after making four appearances (three starts) for the club as a late-season signee in 2021. The Irishman, who also possesses a Canadian passport, produced several strong performances in his abbreviated season with the Arrows, racking up 27 tackles (90% completion), 129 carry metres on 21 carries, 47 ruck arrivals, four tackle breaks, four lineout takes, and a breakdown steal.
Foley first joined the Arrows following a successful spell with his hometown club University College Dublin of the All-Ireland League. The loose forward started with UCD’s under-20 program in 2016, and was promoted to the senior side as an under-ager one year later.
Awarded the Club Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season in 2017-2018, Foley captained UCD in the club’s pandemic-shortened 2020-2021 campaign.
The 6’2”, 230lb forward represented Ireland at the 2018 Six Nations Under 20s Championship, has featured for Leinster ‘A’, and earned one cap with Leinster’s senior side in 2019.
Prop | Apohaqui, New Brunswick
Keith, 24, is back for a fourth season at the club after making 30 appearances (16 starts) over his first three MLR campaigns. The front row stalwart has collected 178 tackles (86% completion), 12 dominant tackles, four tackle breaks, two linebreaks and a breakdown steal to start his Arrows career, while also running for 461 carry metres on 105 carries.
The 6’, 240lb forward has won 18 caps for Canada, including featuring at the 2019 Rugby World Cup. He is also the seventh-youngest player to be capped for Canada (19y, 280d against Chile on Feb. 11, 2017).
Keith represented the Canada under-20s in 2017, and played his grassroots rugby with the Belleisle Rovers.
Fly-half | Ancaster, Ontario
Kelly, 24, has made 11 appearances (five starts) for the Arrows over his two seasons with the club, with nine of those contests coming in the 2021 season.
The fly-half has kicked for 16 points (five conversions, two penalty goals), run for 158 carry metres on 28 carries, completed 26 tackles, and made 28 kicks in play (861 metres).
The 6’3”, 215lb back is a full Canadian international (1 cap), earning his Canada debut at the 2019 Americas Rugby Championship. He also represented the Canada under-20s in 2017.
Kelly is a graduate of the Ontario Blues senior men’s provincial program, Rugby Canada’s Pacific Pride national development program, and the McMaster Marauders post-secondary program. He played his grassroots rugby with the Brantford Harlequins.
Hooker | Holland Landing, Ontario
Quattrin, 25, returns to the Arrows for a fourth season having featured in 32 matches (28 starts) for the club since 2019, marking the second-highest appearance total in club history.
The durable forward has made 271 tackles (89.7% completion), 13 dominant tackles, six tackle breaks, four breakdown steals, three linebreaks and one try throughout his three seasons with the team. His 801 carry metres on 182 carries is the team-high tally among front row players.
The 6’, 245lb hooker has earned seven caps for Canada since making his international debut against the United States in July 2019, including featuring at the 2019 Rugby World Cup, where he was second-youngest player on Canada’s roster. He also represented the Canada under-20s in 2016.
Quattrin is a graduate of the Ontario Blues senior men’s provincial program and the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks post-secondary program, and played his grassroots rugby with the Aurora Barbarians.

The Arrows will be making additional signing announcements in the coming weeks as the club ramps up preparations for its 2022 season.
