
Toronto Arrows Sign Academy Grad Matt Fish
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TORONTO, ON – The Toronto Arrows are pleased to announce the signing of No. 8 Matt Fish for the remainder of the 2023 Major League Rugby season.
Fish, 25, is a graduate of the Arrows Academy program, and featured prominently for the Young Arrows throughout the Academy’s 2022 campaign. Long affiliated with the Arrows organization, he also started for the Arrows XV team at the memorable Rugby Rally in 2021, as well as played with the developmental Arrows ‘A’ side against the USA Rugby Eastern Collegiate All-Americans in 2019.
The six-foot-three, 255-pound loose forward is a product of the Wilfrid Laurier University rugby program, where he served as the Golden Hawks’ captain in his final year at the Ontario post-secondary institution.
The Waterloo, Ont. native is a graduate of the Ontario Blues provincial program and plays his grassroots rugby with his local club, Waterloo County.
