
Toronto Arrows Announce Lineup for Old Glory Clash

MARIETTA, GA – Toronto Arrows Director of Rugby Chris Silverthorn has named his starting lineup for tomorrow’s ‘home’ clash with Old Glory DC at Life University.
Fifteen Canadians have been included in Toronto’s 23-man lineup, with nine featuring in the starting 15. Sam Malcolm and Ollie Nott will make their first starts of the 2021 season.
Ten full internationals have been named to the Arrows’ matchday squad, carrying a combined cap total of 156 matches.
Squad Notes:
- Adams is ranked 2nd in MLR in points (92), 8th in kicking accuracy (75.0%)
- de la Vega is ranked 3rd in MLR in defensive ruck arrivals (91), 3rd in tackles (157) 4th in breakdown steals (8), 6th in lineout takes (54), 10th in carries (120), 10th in lineout steals (5)
- Montero is ranked 9th in MLR in tries scored (7)
- Ciulini is ranked 10th in MLR in lineout steals (5)
- Tuculet is ranked 10th in MLR in offloads (12)
- Six squad members are full Canadian internationals: Brouwer (11 caps), Ciulini (8 caps), du Toit (14 caps), Ferguson (10 caps), Nott (2 caps), Sheppard (11 caps)
- Four squad members are full Argentinian internationals: Cortes (5 caps), de la Vega (12 caps), Montero (27 caps), Tuculet (56 caps)
Tomorrow’s match marks just the second league meeting between Toronto and Old Glory, with the Arrows winning the inaugural clash earlier this season.
Old Glory (4-8-1; 27 points) is coming off a 32-12 home loss to Atlanta, while the Arrows (4-10; 25 points) are looking to bounce back after falling 31-24 to New York in Atlanta.
Sunday’s game will kick off at 6 p.m. ET. The Eastern Conference tilt will air on TSN2 / stream on TSN.ca and the TSN App for Canadian audiences, and will be available on The Rugby Network for American and international audiences. Full broadcast details can be found here.
