Two Arrows have been included in Major League Rugby’s All-MLR team selections for the 2022 season.
Arrows prop Cole Keith has been named to the league’s 2nd XV, while fly-half Sam Malcolm was acknowledged in the honourable mention category.
Keith featured in all 16 matches across the 2022 campaign, starting 13. The durable New Brunswicker picked up 537 carry metres on 96 carries, 243 ruck arrivals, 142 made tackles (84.5% completion), eight defenders beaten, four offloads, three linebreaks, and three tries.
Malcolm started all 13 matches he was involved in this past season. The vice captain booted an even 20 penalties and 20 conversions, marking the second time the club’s all-time points leader has reached the 100-point milestone in a MLR campaign. The Kiwi also accumulated 550 carry metres on 67 carries, 282 passes, 138 made tackles (85.2% completion), 97 ruck arrivals, 16 defenders beaten, seven offloads, three linebreaks, and one breakdown steal.
This is Malcolm’s second time earning a spot on an end-of-season All-MLR Team, with the back also picking up 2nd XV honours in 2019.
