Arrows to Host Los Angeles in Langford, British Columbia
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TORONTO, ON – The Toronto Arrows are headed west.
The club announced today that it will host Los Angeles for a 2022 regular season match at Starlight Stadium on British Columbia’s Vancouver Island on Friday, February 11. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET.
This cross-conference clash, which is designated as a home game for the Arrows, will mark the first time a regular season MLR match has been played in a Canadian province outside of Ontario.
Starlight Stadium is a premium-grade artificial turf field that can host upwards of 6,000 guests. Located in Langford, the field is home to Rugby Canada, the Westshore Rebels (Canadian Junior Football League), and Pacific FC (Canadian Premier League). The stadium has hosted a multitude of high-profile sporting, entertainment and community events since opening its doors in 2009.
The Round 2 fixture will be just the second out-of-province home match for the organization; in October 2018, while playing under the Ontario Arrows banner, the team were 40-14 victors in an exhibition match against the New England Free Jacks held at Wanderers Grounds in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Additional match details, including more information surrounding ticketing and fan experiences, will be announced in the coming weeks.
