Arrows Fans Donate 1,700+ Tickets to Local Youth and Families in 2023
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TORONTO, ON – When the Toronto Arrows opened their inaugural ticket donation portal ahead of the 2023 Major League Rugby season, the club had set a goal to facilitate the donation of 500 tickets to local youth and their families who otherwise would not have the opportunity to experience live professional rugby.
Fast-forward a few months, and Arrows fans stepped up and blew that donation tally out of the water: after the final match of the 2023 season was played, more than 1,700 tickets had been donated.
Tickets were contributed to Arrows club community partners at the Toronto Inner-City Rugby Foundation and Kids Up Front Toronto, as well as The Angel Foundation for Learning, YMCA of Greater Toronto and many public high schools across Ontario, to distribute to deserving youth.
“On behalf of the Arrows organization, I’d like to thank the hundreds of Arrows fans who helped local youth and families in and around Toronto experience the thrill of professional rugby for the first time,” said Bill Webb, Toronto Arrows President and General Partner. “Our passionate fans helped make hundreds of new fans and create hundreds of positive experiences with their donations, and our entire region benefitted by helping support the outstanding work being done in our neighbourhoods by our community partners.”
“We’re looking forward to continuing our ticket donation program again in 2024.”
