Academy Lineup Announced for 2023 Season Opener Against Quebec

TORONTO, ON – Toronto Arrows Academy Director Cory Hector has named his starting lineup for Saturday’s season-opening clash with the Quebec Senior Men.

The roster features 13 players who suited up for the Senior Academy throughout the program’s inaugural season in 2022.

MLR fans will recognize the names of fullback Brenden Black and lock Hank Stevenson, who have both featured for the Senior Team in MLR action this season.

High Performance Academy athletes No. 8 Tom Artmann, centre Jacob Ince, and hooker David Scollon, who have been regularly training with the Senior Team throughout the MLR season, have also been named to the Academy’s starting 15.

Tomorrow’s match, which will serve as a curtain raiser for the Senior Team’s MLR match against the New England Free Jacks, will kick off at 3 p.m. ET from York University’s Alumni Stadium. The game will be open to spectators and will be free of charge to attend, though fans must claim their free tickets at this link. A ticket receipt will be required for entry into the stadium.
