Academy Lineup Announced for Road Clash with New York
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HOBOKEN, NJ – Toronto Arrows Academy Director and Head Coach Cory Hector has named his starting lineup for Sunday’s academy clash with the New York Foundry.
The travelling squad features representation from 10 different Canadian post-secondary institutions and 14 different Canadian grassroots clubs.
Sam Mace – one of four senior Arrows named to the lineup – will captain the young side, with fellow senior player Will Kelly deputizing.
Sunday’s match, played at JFK Stadium in Hoboken, NJ, will kick off at 12 p.m. ahead of Rugby New York’s senior team clash with NOLA Gold. It marks the second game of the Academy’s inaugural season, with the young side having travelled to Boston to take on the New England Independents in mid-March.
The Academy’s 2022 campaign kicked off in early February, with under-18 to under-23 athletes training regularly at two regional sites in Ontario (Guelph, Kingston) and one in Quebec (Montreal).
